PIPE ORGAN "PORTRAITS' - A FEW BASICS
As we await the installation of new ranks of organ pipes and the repair of the existing
reeds, let's review some organ basics:
1) Each pipe organ has its' own unique tonal resources.
2) The diapason is the characteristic, non-imitative sound of the organ.
3) Scale is the relative "fatness" of the pipe in proportion to its height.
4) Voicing includes all adjustments that can be made once the pipe has been
completed.
Our new organ pipes are presently being voiced and prepared for installation. Next Time:
"Mouth" and "Toe"1 for the pipe organ.

column. The opening at the bottom front is the "mouth" of the pipe, and the
"toe" is the opening at the bottom end of the pipe. Next time: "Pipes Have
Ears"

1) Thank you for my grandson's safe trip from South Carolina;
2) Thank you for guiding my brother through a difficult work and family transition.
ANOTHER REASON FOR WANTING TO SPEND 1 HOUR
WITH JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
The best, the most effective, the surest way of bringing about lasting peace on earth is
through the great power of PEA, because only Jesus has the power and the love to redirect
the course of history back to the path of peace, which He promised. Adoration brings peace
to all hearts. And peaceful hearts make a peaceful world. Pope John Paul II wrote in
Dominicae Cenae: "The Church and the world have a great need for Eucharistic
Adoration."

WELCOME TO THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY OF CHRIST THE KING
Julia Rose Parisi, daughter of Maria (Delauro) & Frank Parisi who was baptized in our
Church last Sunday.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW that believing God exists is not enough to get us back into a
right relationship with God. The Bible says that even Satan and the demons believe God
exists. You could correctly conclude that it is possible to believe in the existence of
God and still be separated from Him forever.
WORLD MISSION SUNDAY
The second collection today, will be taken for World Mission Sunday. World Mission Sunday
is primarily an occasion of prayer and sacrifice at the celebration of the Eucharist for
the missionaries of the world. The donations you give form one central fund from which the
basic daily missionary and pastoral work of the Church in more than 1,100 mission dioceses
is supported day-by-day. Please give generously.

air. These pipes have openings at the "mouth" and the "toe". In order
to steady the speech (sound) of a pipe, so called "ears" are attached to the
mouth of the pipes. These "ears" promote promptness in the speech of the pipes

AS WE ARE BEING CONFIRMED IN CHRIST
Christ Jesus, before ascending into heaven, You promised to send the Holy Spirit to
Your apostles and disciples. Grant that the same Spirit may perfect in our lives the work
of Your grace and love.
Grant us the Spirit of Wonder and Awe that we may be filled with a loving reverence
toward You;
Grant us the Spirit of Reverence, that we may find peace and fulfillment in the service
of God while serving others;
Grant us the Spirit of Courage that we may bear our cross with You and with courage,
overcome the obstacles that interfere with our salvation;
Grant us the Sprit of Knowledge, that we may know You and know ourselves and grow in
holiness;
Grant us the Spirit of Understanding, to enlighten our minds with the light of Your
truth;
Grant us the Sprit of Right Judgement, that we may choose the surest way of doing Your
will, seeking first the Kingdom;
Grant us the Spirit of Wisdom, that we may aspire to the things that last forever;
Teach us to be Your faithful disciples and animate us in every way with Your Spirit.
AMEN.
