Question of the Week: What is the greatest obstacle you face in producing a more
fruitful life?
Faith Response: Commit to the pursuit of good news. Contemplate the faces of saints
instead of celebrities. Give more attention to stories of courage than the activity of
criminals. Listen to music that exalts rather than leads to self-absorption and self-pity.

MYSTERY OF THE EUCHARIST
We come to the official end of the Church's proclamation of the Year of the Eucharist. Are
we aware of the importance of receiving the Eucharist, of the importance it plays in our
lives?
On Friday, Nov. 4th at 7:00 pm in the Lower Church, Father Paul Seil, pastor of St.
Lawrence Church in Buffalo, will give us his insight on the Mystery of the Eucharist. Our
hope and prayer is that we continue to learn more abut the Eucharist and make it the
center of our lives.
This is an opportunity for all to grow in their faith. Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors,
Ushers and Choir Members are encouraged to attend, but all members of the parish are
invited. The talk will be followed with refreshments.
NOVEMBER 6TH - SAVE THE DATE!
The Christ the King Mission Team will sponsor the 9:30 Mass on Sunday, November 6th.
Please plan to come to this special liturgy and experience "faith and community"
with our parishioners who have made Mission at Christ the King.
There will be a special Mission Choir and guest pianist for our Mass. Everyone is welcome
to join us for refreshments in the Chapel Meeting Room immediately after Mass.
"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?" Jesus answered,
"You shall love the Lord, your God will all your heart, with all your soul, and with
all your mind." - Mathew 22:34-40
Question of the Week: Who will you learn to love tomorrow that you do not love today?
Faith Response: Chart the boundaries of your love at present. Who is excluded? Which
groups of people do you find it hard to forgive or embrace? Make those folks beyond the
border, your new frontier for love. Pray for the love of God to overwhelm you.

performed to be seen." - Matthew 23
Question of the Week: How can you lead others by acts of service?

deed: picking up litter on the street, greeting someone who is normally unfriendly,
writing an unexpected note of appreciation, allowing someone else to have his or her way.
