LIFE CHAIN 2006 - NEW LOCATION - Life Chain is a silent, prayerful, non-violent protest against abortion, which is held every year in locations throughout the country. It is a powerful witness to many that, though silent, we are willing to state our beliefs publicly without shame. We stand along Niagara Falls Blvd. holding signs stating that "Abortion Kills Children" for one hour from 2:00-3:00 pm today, Sunday, October 1st. Our new location will now be directly across from the Mall on Niagara Falls Blvd. Park on side streets (not parking lots) and assemble in front of the now closed Krispy Kreme location at 1:45 pm. Signs will be distributed from there. Questions? call Maureen at 836-0736.

RCIA (THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS) - Have you ever thought about updating or learning more about your Catholic faith? Were you baptized in another Christian faith but are now interested in becoming Catholic? Do you need to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation? Do you need to receive the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist? Do you need to be Baptized? If you are an adult or if you know of an adult who fits in to above categories, the RCIA process may be for you. We invite you to join us on Thursday evenings, from 7:15 to 9 pm in the Msgr. McMahon Parish Library. For more information call the rectory at 839-1430.

CROSS INTERNATIONAL - Next weekend Fr. Richard Kunzman will be speaking at all the weekend Masses on behalf of Cross International Catholic Outreach. Parishes in underdeveloped countries represent more than an important source of spiritual truth for their community. They also stand as a beacon of hope for impoverished families who have nowhere else to turn for help. Come and hear how we can make a difference in the lives of our least brother and sisters in the Third World.

HOLY NAME SUNDAY - Next Sunday, the Holy Name Society, their friends and family will attend the 8:00 am Mass and sit together as a group. After mass, coffee, donuts and bagels will be served in the Church Library. All parishioners are invited to this breakfast.

They also serve as a disaster relief organization when the need arises. By meeting the urgent needs of the poor with a cost-effective approach to purchasing and distribution, Cross International ensures that more of your contribution reaches the poor. THE OCTOBER "SURPRISE" STORM
Fortunately, Christ the King Church seems to have come through the unexpected snowstorm with little physical damage. The roofs are intact, windows are unbroken and there was the expected loss of trees. Unfortunately, the Gym floor in CTK School was destroyed! from water damage.
