FAVORS GRANTED THROUGH PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
The Adorers of the Perpetual Adoration wish to thank Jesus for the following favors:
1) Thank you for a holy death for my cousin with aids. He died at the very moment I was
reciting the chaplet for the dying during my hour of Eucharistic Adoration.
2) Thank you for my wife and family.

ANOTHER REASON FOR WANTING TO SPEND 1 HOUR
WITH JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
"Perpetual Adoration is a door always open. It is a sign of the open arms of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament always inviting, welcoming, and embracing each one who comes to Him. A door always open exposing the light of Divine Love in the monstrance defines the true meaning of the Incarnation. In the Blessed Sacrament, the Word continues to become flesh and dwell among us. Just as the babe lying in the manger, we can see in the Sacred Host the same "glory of an only Son, coming from the Father, filled with enduring love." - taken from Letters to a Brother Priest.

DIVINE MERCY CHAPLET - If you are a scheduled adorer in the Adoration Chapel, and you wish to say the Divine Mercy Chaplet each week during your scheduled time, please place a cross (+) on the Chart in the Chapel, next to your time slot. No name is required.

A MEMORIAL SERVICE
ON THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF SEPTEMBER 11TH
On Wednesday, September 11th at 10:29 a.m., there will be a special Memorial Service for the CTK School children and all parishioners interested in attending. It is with special remembrance and reverence that we commemorate the events of Last September 11th. Our hearts continue to be filled with sorrow and heartfelt prayer as we remember the thousands who perished as well as their loved one left behind. This first Anniversary is a time to testify how much the love of Jesus Christ triumphs over that day of unmitigated hate. How many of us are so much more compassionate, understanding, gentle, caring, tenderhearted and forgiving now than we were before September 11th? The world sorely needs this love.
The Memorial Service will consist of a prayers, music, a candle lighting ceremony, and time for personal reflection. Please take time out from your busy day to join us in remembering those who died that day.

OTHER MEMORIAL SERVICES AVAILABLE
St. John Lutheran Church (6540 Main St., Williamsville) will hold a Remembrance Service sponsored by the Williamsville Clergy Association (including CTK) at 7:30 p.m. As our nation stops to remember the tragedy of September 11, 2001, you're invited to attend a service of remembrance for those who died and to hear a message of hope for those who live.

Our Lady of Blessed Sacrament (French Rd. & George Urban Blvd.) will have a Memorial Service on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

THANKS TO THE TEEN YOUTH GROUP
Last year after the 9-11 tragedy, our Teen Youth Group created an Altar Cloth and sent it to the Archdiocese of New York School's to use as it saw fit. The following is an excerpt from the letter received in thanks:
"In the wake of the recent tragedies to plague our country, your support and concern are a ray of light in what seems like such darkness.
Please thank the children of Christ the King Youth Group for their wonderful job and let them know that we have passed the altar cloth on to St. Joseph-by-the-Sea High School in Staten Island. September 11th has touched everyone but Staten Island is a very close-knit community made up largely of firefighters and police officers who lost their lives to save others. Also, the World Trade Center employed many people from Staten Island due to the convenient location which is a short ferry ride into the city. We also felt that St. Joseph-by-the-Sea High School would benefit from the altar cloth because many students and faculty members were impacted directly with the loss of a loved one by the tragedy.
Sincerely, Ms. Angela Chiarelli,
Communications/Marketing Assistant,
Superintendent of Schools Office."

PETER'S PENCE COLLECTION
The second collection today is for Peter's Pence. We are encouraged to become partners with Pope John Paul II in his efforts to provide emergency assistance to those most in need, those who suffer as a result of war, oppression, and natural disasters. This annual collection gives us the opportunity to help relieve the suffering of the world's most vulnerable. Please be generous.

A Bereavement Support Group, sponsored by CTK Bereavement Committee has been organized for all persons grieving the death of a loved one. FAVORS GRANTED THROUGH PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
The Adorers of the Perpetual Adoration wish to thank Jesus for the following favors:
1) Thank you for all blessings, especially - peace of mind;
2) Thank you for an answer to our financial problem.

ANOTHER REASON FOR WANTING TO SPEND 1 HOUR
WITH JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
Jesus healed 10 lepers. Only one came back to give Him thanks for the miracle of a clean body. Jesus said: "Were not all ten made whole? Where are the other nine?" Every Sunday, Jesus performs a far greater miracle for us. The gift of the Holy Eucharist makes us immortal with divine life. Each communion will leave our soul everlastingly more glorious and beautiful in heaven. In spite of the fact that Jesus asks us to give thanks for this great gift by coming back during the week and visiting Him in the Blessed Sacrament, only a very few do. Your sacrifice will make up for the ingratitude of "the other nine" for the many who never think of visiting Him at all.
