ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETY
Last
week was Ozanam Sunday in recognition of the
Founder of the Society. The question
which is agitating the world today is a social one.
It is struggle between those who have nothing and those who have too much, it is
the violent clash of opulence and poverty, which is shaking the ground under our feet. Our duty as Christians is to throw ourselves
between those two camps, in order to accomplish through charity what justice alone cannot
do. Frederic Ozanam
JUBILEE 2000 WITNESSES OF CHRIST
We
are called to live the Gospel according to the example and teaching of Jesus Christ, with
a life of prayer, love of God and neighbor, forgiving offenses, and of giving oneself
willingly for the service of others whoever they may be.
The martyrs are shining examples of this, but every Christian is called to a life
of total fidelity and self-dedication.

that God is calling you to be His priest, call Fr. Leon at 847-5535.

accept Jesus Christ the Good News of Salvation. Christians
have the duty to share this proclamation. With
due respect for the dignity and freedom of others, but also with faith and joy, the
