come and compile a scrapbook of their most treasured memories and life stories - putting
together a book of special moments in your life that you'd especially like to remember -
childhood moments, vacations, quiet times with family & friends, a wedding, graduation
or the birth of a new baby. Parish Outreach will help you organize your photographs,
mementos, and thoughts. You will receive a photo album, a pen, tape for photographs &
sheets to take home. The cost is $10 & you may join at any time. We will be meeting
every Monday from Noon-2:00 p.m. in the Church Library. To register or for questions, call
Keri Mayer at 831-1246.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT KNITTING has become a wonderful evening of community and fun! Come
& learn how to make a great scarf, or how to knit a Prayer Shawl, which when
completed, will be blessed and given to a parishioner who is ill or grieving. What better
way for us to reach out to those who are hurting. We meet at 7:00 pm in the Church Library
on: March 10th and April 7th & 21st. If you are coming for the first time & want
to know what to bring, call Linda at 839-2363.

are wounded. Just as a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts
and feelings, even when they seem crazy. A support group is a safe haven where we can
talk, cry, share our anger, guilt, and fears, with those who understand and care. The
program will consist of six sessions beginning Wed., March 17th, and every other Wednesday
through May 26th. This year, we are offering afternoon sessions beginning at 1:00 p.m. and
evening sessions beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Library. For more information,
please call Linda Maslona at 839-2363.
CAN YOU HELP SOMEONE GET TO WEEKLY MASS? There are many people in our parish who would
like to go to church, but are unable to drive. Outreach would like to help them,
especially during the season of Lent. If you would be willing to drive a fellow
parishioner to church, please call Linda Maslona at 839-2362. Also, if you are a
Eucharistic Minister, or would like to become one to bring the Eucharist to the homebound

THE ALTAR DECORATING COMMITTEE is looking for people who might be interested in helping
decorate the Altars for Christmas and Easter, and to help with maintenance during the

LENT IS HERE
and it is a time when we each need to look at our own life, and how
we live our faith. One of the best ways to live Lent is to begin at the end. The night
before Jesus died, He said: "I will call you friends." Let us live our Lent this
year as a friendship. Have you considered Eucharistic Adoration as your Lenten Spiritual
dedication to God? There are six weeks in Lent, can you commit to six hours of Adoration
during this time? If so please fill in the form at the Adoration Chapel and place it in
the box outside of the Chapel.

CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL 2004
Target Weekend - March 27th & 28th
By now, you should have received in the mail your Catholic Charities donation request
which includes a letter from Msgr. Lichtenthal, a card with your name on it, and a return
envelope. Please indicate the amount of your donation on the card, enclose it with a check
or cash and return it by mail or in the collection basket, on or before THE WEEKEND OF
MARCH 27 & 28.
Your support of this year's Appeal is vital. Please consider increasing your donation this
year by pledging a larger amount, and making payments in several installments. A gift of
$100 is less than $2 per week. Try to join the Large Gift donor group by giving a minimum
of $250. This is what helps make our parish go over the top every year. Let us show Fr.
Joe Sicari (Director of Catholic Charities who assists at Christ the King), our support.
If you are employed by a firm that "matches gifts" to charitable institutions,
secure a form from your personnel office and forward the completed form to the Catholic
Charities Appeal Office. Your contribution is used to bring strength and stability to the
community. Please give generously!
For more details on Catholic Charities, call 856-4494 or visit our website -

CAN YOU HELP SOMEONE GET TO WEEKLY MASS? There are many people in our parish who would
like to go to church, but are unable to drive. Outreach would like to help them,
especially during the season of Lent. If you would be willing to drive a fellow
parishioner to church, please call Linda Maslona at 839-2362. Also, if you are a
Eucharistic Minister, or would like to become one to bring the Eucharist to the homebound
and sick, please call Linda.

YOUR SPIRIUTALLY ADOPTED BABY - FIVE MONTHS - Your spiritually adopted baby weighs over
one pound now. His mother can feel him moving now. Before he was too small for her to
feel. Although he swam with ease in his watery world, he needed to be big and strong
enough to kick hard against the outside uterine wall and dent it - the inside wall of the
uterus has no feeling. We are mid-way through the pregnancy now. Your prayers have helped
your baby's mother continue with her pregnancy and seek the help she needs.
CONGRATULATIONS "BISHOP-DESIGNATE" CUNNINGHAM - Pope John Paul II has
appointed Msgr. Robert J. Cunningham, currently the Administrator of the Diocese of

Msgr. Cunningham will continue to be the Diocesan Administrator of Buffalo, a position
he's held following the transfer last October of Archbishop Henry J. Mansell to Hartford.

WITH JESUS IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: "Come to me, all you that are weary and carrying

and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28

TARGET WEEKEND!!!!
CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL 2004
This weekend is the Target Weekend for returning Catholic Charities donations. You are
asked to look into your heart and give as much as you can. If you are able, please
consider increasing your donation this year. Please indicate the amount of your donation
on the card, enclose it with a check or cash and return it in today's collection or by
mail.
