students receiving their First Communion this May and invite them to come in and help
themselves. The collection will take place before masses, in the Chapel Meeting Room.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP - When we lose a loved one by death, we are wounded. Just as
a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts and feelings, even when
they seem crazy. A support group is a safe haven where we can talk, cry, share our anger,
guilt and fears with those who understand and care. A Bereavement Support Group, sponsored
by CTK Bereavement Committee has been organized for all persons grieving the death of a
loved one. The program will consist of six sessions beginning Tuesday, March 8th, at 7 pm
and every other Tuesday through May 24th. The program will be held in the Church Library.

School). We will share a story with your child and help them to learn more about God and
the Bible, and they will make something special to bring home. The two sessions offered
each month are identical, so you may attend either. Please contact Adele Kraus at 839-5340
for more details.

joined together to help their neighbors in need. We have dedicated ourselves to visit the
homes of families in need in our parish to assist them materially and spiritually.
CATHOLIC CHARITIES TARGET WEEKEND
Next weekend March 12th & 13th, you are asked to return your Catholic Charities
donations in the collection. More people turned to Catholic Charities for family relief
during 2004 than the previous year, highlighting the great need in our community. So many
people who are working struggle daily to make ends meet. Have you made a contribution that
reflects your care and concern* Donate the cost of renting one video per week and you'll
make a significant difference. We are a Community of Hope. Go to www.ccwny.org to find out

TARGET WEEKEND!!!
CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL 2005
This weekend is the Target Weekend for returning Catholic Charities donations. You are
asked to look into your heart and give as much as you can. If you are able, please
consider increasing your donation this year. Please indicate the amount of your donation
on the card, enclose it with a check or cash and return it in today's collection or by
mail.
Your support of this year's Appeal is vital. Please consider increasing your donation this
year by pledging a larger amount, and making payments in several installments. A gift of
$100 is less than $2 per week. Try to join the Large Gift donor group by giving a minimum
of $250. This is what helps make our parish go over the top every year. Let us show Fr.
Joe Sicari (Director of Catholic Charities who assists at CTK), our support.
If you are employed by a firm that "matches gifts" to charitable institutions,
secure a form from your personnel office and forward the completed form to the Catholic
Charities Appeal Office. Your contribution is used to bring strength and stability to the
community. Please give generously.
We are a Community of Hope. Go to www.ccwny.org to find out more or donate online, or call

CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL 2005
We are nurturing. We are caring. We are families. We are support. We are a community of
hope. TODAY is the day to respond if you have yet to support the Catholic Charities Appeal
2005! All that is needed today is your pledge, if you prefer. We will remind you of your
commitment through the year as you request.
Your support of this year's Appeal is vital. As of Tuesday, March 15th, our parishioners
donated $174,272 to Catholic Charities. Please consider increasing your donation this
year, by pledging a larger amount and making payments in several installments. A gift of
$100 is less than $2 per week.
Go to www.ccwny.org to find
out more or donate online, or call 856-4494. Be hope for someone in need.

guilt and fears with those who understand and care. A Bereavement Support Group, sponsored
by CTK Bereavement Committee has been organized for all persons grieving the death of a
loved one. The next session will be on Tuesday, March 22nd at 7 pm and every other Tuesday

HAPPY EASTER!!!
Dear Parishioners,
Greetings in the Risen Lord. How fortunate we are to be a resurrection people; people
immersed in the belief that Jesus has conquered sin and death for us by His death and
glorious Resurrection.
As we gather at this time of year, renewed and refreshed in our faith, we join together as
a parish family to renew our baptismal promises and our fidelity to the Risen Lord and His
Church. May God's blessing remain with all of you as we celebrate together and sing our
"Alleluias" until the Lord shall come again.
On behalf of our priests and sisters who serve here, we wish each of you a Blessed Easter.
Many thanks for your thoughtfulness in cards and gifts this Holy Season.
In Christ our King,
Msgr. James Lichtenthal
Father Joe Sicari
THE LITTLE WHITE BOOKS
The Little White Books with reflections for the Easter Season are still available in the
back of Church today. These are used as a continuation of the Little Black Books, which
were distributed for Lent. The Easter Season begins on Monday, March 28th, and continues
through Pentecost, Sunday, May 15th.
EUCHARISTIC ADORATION CHAPEL
The Eucharistic Adoration Chapel is currently closed for the Triduum. It will reopen on
Monday, March 28 at 9:00 a.m.
EASTER THANK-YOU'S EXTENDED TO:
The Altar Decorating Committee, for the beautiful display of Easter flowers in both our
churches. Thanks especially to Loretta Stachura for her hard work in organizing the flower
order.
Dan Staszak, our maintenance Supervisor, for all the extra work he has done to help
prepare our churches for the Easter celebration. His preparation began 3 weeks ago with
the polishing of the brass and copper candlesticks, and continued through Easter, helping
Msgr. make sure everything was where it should be for the appropriate celebrations. Thanks
also to Eric Voglmayr who works with Dan to help keep the churches looking their best.
Christina Shrewsbury, Director of Music Ministry, and the Parish Choir, who helped make
the Lenten Season so special, especially Holy Week services. It is wonderful to
reintroduce the Grand Alleluia's at the Easter Vigil and Easter Masses.
Eileen and Mike Summers for their help in setting up the Repository on Holy Thursday and
helping to cover the statues throughout Church for Passion Sunday.
To our Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers Altar Servers and Ushers for their dedication to
these ministries throughout the year, and whose presence assists our priests during the
Mass.
EASTER DUTY
part of our Lenten regulations requires us to "perform our Easter Duty," that
is, to receive Holy Communion at least once a year, between Ash Wednesday and Trinity
Sunday, which is on June 11th this year.

On Saturday & Sunday, April 9 & 10 following each Mass there will be a Ministry
Fair held in the Chapel Meeting Room off the Lower Church. CTK offers many opportunities
for you to become involved in your parish community. Our Ministry Fair will help you learn
more and speak with representatives of a wide range of ministries, from liturgical and
prayer ministries to parish community and service groups. Refreshments will be served. All

to the Wehrle Restaurant for a Dutch-treat breakfast. If you are attending, call Virginia
Harder at 839-0230.
A Bereavement Support Group, sponsored
by CTK Bereavement Committee has been organized for all persons grieving the death of a
loved one. The next session will be on Tuesday, April 5th at 7 pm and every other Tuesday
through May 24th. The program will be held in the Church Library. For more information,
please call Linda Maslona at 839-2363.
PARISH SWEEPSTAKES - BLUE AND GOLD GALA & AUCTION: Going once, Going twice . . .
Please return all Sweepstakes ticket stubs and payment to the Rectory or in the weekly
collection by April 1st . Additional tickets are still available at the Rectory. Tickets
are $10 each, and checks may be made payable to "Christ the King." Also, don't
miss out on the first annual Blue and Gold Gala & Auction Party, which will be held on
Friday, April 8th in Mooney Hall (School Gym), beginning at 7:30 p.m. The evening will
include an elegant dinner, open bar, live music, live and silent auctions, raffled items,
a chocolate fountain, and lots of fun! The winning sweepstakes entries also will be
selected that evening. Tickets may be purchased at the Rectory, or you may submit payment
with your name, address, and phone number in the weekly collection and tickets will be
mailed to you. Tickets are a bargain at $40 per person or $65 per couple (please, no
scalping), and the deadline is April 1st. All parishioners, family, and friends are warmly
welcome to this celebration of our beloved parish and # 1 school. Finally, if you have any
ideas or leads on auction item donations, please contact Rob Mikulec at 636-8352 or Mark

CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL 2005
At Catholic Charities, we rejoice with you in the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior
Christ Jesus! You proved again that you are a community of hope for so many in WNY. Thank
you! The time and treasure you dedicated to Catholic Charities Appeal 2005 will help
return people in our community to a place of strength and stability.
Your support of this year's Appeal is vital. As of Tuesday, March 22nd our parishioners
donated $199,499 to Catholic Charities. Please consider increasing your donation this
year, by pledging a larger amount and making payments in several installments. A gift of
$100 is less than $2 per week.
Go to www.ccwny.org to find
out more or donate online, or call 856-4494. Be hope for someone in need.
