Question of the Week: How can you offer safety or sanctuary in your relationships with others?

A support group is a safe haven where we can talk, share our anger, guilt and fears with those who understand and care. The Group will meet six times, beginning Tues., March 14th, & every other Tuesday through May 24th, from 7:00 until approximately 9:00 pm. The program will be held in the Church Library. WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR LENT?????

THE "LITTLE BLACK BOOK" booklets with daily Lenten reflections for adults are available in the back of Church. Supply is limited, so please share one with your family.

THE EUCHARISTIC PERPETUAL ADORATION CHAPEL is located at the top of the stairs, when entering the Church at the archway between the Church and the School. These doors are unlocked from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. Please feel free to make a visit to the Chapel. You do not need to be a scheduled adorer in order to come and pray. However, don't be afraid to take a fixed hour for fear that there may be times that you can't make it. There is a substitute system in place. "You have nothing whatsoever to fear from Him. Get up. He is calling you!" (Mark 10:50)

JOURNEY IN FAITH AND GRACE - At the heart of our process is the desire for a diocesan-wide spiritual renewal, a desire to be faith-filled and holy in order to continue the mission of Jesus Christ. All deliberations and decisions should be within this context. A parish must be more than a place where the Sunday liturgy is celebrated. In addition to quality Sunday liturgies, a parish should have formation programs for the sacraments, religious formation for both children and adults, lay involvement, outreach to those in need, good pastoral leadership and financial stability.

JOURNEY IN FAITH AND GRACE
Diocesan Guidelines for the Restructuring of Parishes (continued from last week)
" As the Diocese of Buffalo prepares to restructure its parishes and schools, there is a two-fold purpose: 1) To ensure that parishes will have the membership, leadership and resources to be vibrant centers of Catholic life. 2) To foster academically excellent and financially sound Catholic Schools that will give witness to Gospel values through their environment, teaching and activities.
" Ordinarily, an individual priest should not have sole responsibility for more than two parishes. If a priest needs to assume responsibility for two or more parishes, there should bed a single parish office and appropriate support staff. Parish functions should be consolidated.

MUSIC MINISTRY - Questions* Please call Christina Shrewsbury, Dir. of Music Ministry at CTK at 839-1430/ext. 212.

SPIRITUAL ADOPTION - UPDATE
One Month Developing Baby - Your spiritually adopted baby has been quite active over the past month. Already your baby is 10,000 times bigger than at conception. Your baby has developed the foundations of his brain, spinal cord, and nervous system by the 20th day. His heart began to beat on the 21st day and is pumping blood through its own circulatory system. The blood type can be different from his mother's. Your baby is most vulnerable during the next month of being aborted. Pray that the Lord of Life might move the heart of his mother to give him the most precious gift of all - the gift of life.

" Consideration will be given to the canonical directives regarding the number of Masses that a priest may celebrate each day. Ordinarily, a priest is permitted to celebrate one or two Masses per day. Where there is a genuine pastoral need, a priest may celebrate a third Mass on Sunday or a Holy Day of Obligation. Parishes should adjust their Mass schedules according to pastoral need and in collaboration with neighboring parishes.

IF YOU NEED A FINANCIAL STATEMENT FOR 2005 for 2005 for tax purposes, please put a note in the collection basket, or send a note to the Rectory.

REACHING OUT - during the liturgy, you extend your hand and say "Peace be with you." After the liturgy, you stretched out your hand to the St. Vincent de Paul Poor Boxes and by this action again, you said "Peace be with you".

THE ROSARY CHAIN is made up of a group of parishioners who pray a daily decade of the rosary for special requested intentions. If you have an intention for the Rosary Chain, or you would like to become part of the Rosary Chain Ministry, call Irene Wingerter at 632-0646. The Rosary Chain is ideal for those who wish to keep their intentions private.

AIRPLANES OVERHEAD - The anticipated construction on the Buffalo-Niagara Airport began on March 6th, as many parishioners are aware. All daily flights will be taking off over our neighborhoods until August. If you want more information, go to www.nfta.com. CATHOLIC CHARITIES
THE TARGET WEEKEND IS COMING
Next weekend, April 1st and 2nd is Target weekend for Catholic Charities. You are asked to look into your heart and give as much as you can. If you are able, please consider increasing your donation this year. Please indicate the amount of your donation on the card, enclose it with a check or cash and return it in the weekly collection, to the Rectory or in the mail.
Your support of this year's Appeal is vital. Please consider increasing your donation this year, by pledging a larger amount, and making payments in several installments. A gift of $100 is less than $2 per week. Try to join the Large Gift donor group by giving a minimum of $250. This is what helps make our parish go over the top every year. Let us show Fr. Joe Sicari (Director of Catholic Charities, who assists at CTK) our support.
If you are employed by a firm that "matches gifts" to charitable institutions, secure a form from your personnel office and forward the completed form to the Catholic Charities Appeal Office. Your contribution is used to bring strength and stability to the community. Please give generously.
One Community of Catholic Charities - One For All. Call 856-4494 or donate online and learn more about the help we provide at www.1-for-all.org .

YOU SAY: "It's impossible"
GOD SAYS: All things are possible
(Luke 18:27)

"Whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that their works may clearly be seen as done in God."

Question of the Week: How can you reflect the light of Christ to those around you*

Faith Response: Visit a bookstore and buy a biography of a saint. God to a museum and contemplate religious art. Hang an icon on your wall. Reflect on your responsibility to be light for others.

" Factors such as the parish's historical, cultural, or ethnic identity need to be considered in a restructuring effort. However, such considerations cannot be the sole or primary determining factor when deciding whether to continue, close or alter a parish.
" In those places where there are neither an adequate number of people nor sufficient temporal resources to support a parish in achieving its mission, and where there are other parishes nearby, reorganization is both appropriate and necessary.
