JOURNEY IN FAITH AND GRACE - MODELS OF FAITH RESTRUCTURING & LEADERSHIP
Considering the reduced number of priests who will be available for ministry in future
years, there will need to be fewer parishes as well as new models for organizing and
staffing those parishes.
The need for professionally trained ministers will only increase. Deacons and laity are
encouraged to avail themselves of the education and formation offered by the diocese.
MAY APPEAL 2006 donations can still be made and are greatly appreciated.
YOU SAY: I can't manage.
GOD SAYS: I will supply all your needs.
(Phillippians 4:19)

A GENTLE REMINDER
..
The Tabernacle is the Place where Jesus is kept-for the sick and veneration. When you
enter the Church, dip your right hand into the Holy Water and Bless yourself. That is to
renew our Baptism promises.
When you get to your pew, genuflect on one knee to say ..."Jesus, You are my King-I
love You."
Try to keep a respectful silence in Church so others can pray.
Always come to Mass early-try to be there at least 5 minutes before we begin.
Never leave Mass early (except when sick or emergency). Remember others are watching you
and you should be giving a good example.
Drop your envelopes in the passing of the basket. This is your act of worship-your gift to
the Church to continue the ministry.
Please sing-God gave you a beautiful voice to praise Him or if not so beautiful, sing to
get even.
Be kind and considerate in the Parking Lot.
Always say hello to everyone. Try to learn at least one name a week.

the needs of our parishioners and to develop ways in which to assist those in need;
whether that need is spiritual, financial, emotional or physical. Doing this, we can truly

neighbors.
One of these projects is our Ministry to the Sick, which includes visiting & bringing

CORPUS CHRISTI CELEBRATION! This Sunday June 18, Father's day following the 12:15 PM
Mass, the faith community of Christ the King is celebrating the Feast of Corpus
Christi-The Body of Christ-honoring the true presence of Our Lord in the Blessed
Sacrament. We will walk in procession with the First Communicants (dressed in their First
Communion attire) leading our way, the priest holding the monstrance. Honor our Lord! To
complete a perfect Father's Day, join us!
WHY THE CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION?-The importance of such a ritual gesture cannot be
underestimated, for it involves bringing God literally into the community, through the
streets and passages where people live and work. It is a literal, not symbolic, ritual
that sacralizes common space and echoes the mystery of Catholic incarnational theology:
the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. The Feast of Corpus Christi reminds the
faithful that the quarantining of the Sacred within the church structure (a common feature
of Reformation Protestant theology) is impossible. This theological ritual insists that
God erupts amidst and dwells among us.

"Fathers, please take hold of your family and live your vocation now. Be an
example to your children by truly living a holy life. Imitate Christ by the way you act,
speak, pray and live your life."
MESSAGES FROM THE HEART OF OUR MOTHER.
When husbands and wives truly pray in the family and don't usurp each other's roles,
they will grow together in harmony and their desires will change. Through prayer,
conversion will happen and there will be family unity based on God's way. There will then
be genuine family love.
FAVORS GRANTED THROUGH PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
1) Thank you Lord for blessing my son with the offering of a good position. I am truly
grateful.
2) Thank you for a wonderful vacation with my wife, a blessed life, a holy family.

PARISH OUTREACH - this ministry was organized for the purpose of learning more about
the needs of our parishioners and to develop ways in which to assist those in need;
whether that need is spiritual, financial, emotional or physical. Doing this, we can truly
bring our parish together as a concerned community-loving and caring for our fellow
neighbors.
One of these projects is our Ministry to the Sick, which includes visiting & bringing
Holy Communion weekly to parishioners who are homebound in hospitals and in nursing homes.
We also provide pastoral & spiritual support to the sick & their families. If you
know of anyone in these situations that currently is not receiving Holy Communion and
would like to, please contact Linda Maslona at 839-2363 or 839-7800.
THE PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY WILL NOT MEET THIS WEDNESDAY JUNE 21 (Due to the CTK eight
grade graduation)- But this ministry does meet every Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm in the
Church Library. Prayer Shawls are knit, blessed and given as gifts to parishioners who are
shut-ins, have serious illnesses, or those who have a need to be wrapped in prayers. For
details call Linda Maslona at 839-2363. If you can't participate, but wish to help, you
might consider a donation of 3 complete skeins of one color yarn, used to knit a prayer
shawl.
MEN'S PRAYER GROUP- Meets every Monday evening from 8:15-9:00 PM. in the Upper Church.
The rosary is recited along with other traditional prayers of the Church. All men are
welcome to attend.
THE ROSARY CHAIN is made up of a group of parishioners who pray a daily decade of the
rosary for special requested intentions. If you have an intention for the Rosary Chain, or
you would like to become part of the Rosary Chain Ministry, call Irene Wingerter at
632-0646. The Rosary Chain is ideal for those who wish to keep their intentions private.
VOCATION VIEWS - Receiving Eucharist is a real sign of unity in our Church. We are in
'communion' with the Church. God nourishes us with the "Bread from Heaven" at
Communion, through ordained priests -if we have ordained priests to celebrate the Liturgy.
If you feel the inclination towards ordination to the priesthood, call Father Leon
Biernat-847-5535.
YOU STILL HAVE TIME TO GIVE BACK - Donations are still being accepted for Fr. James
Kingori, one of the Consolata Missionaries that celebrated the 11:00 or 12:15 Mass at CTK.
Donations can be made in care of Lawrence J. Funk for the Father James Fund, 2375 Coomer

me." My imitation of Christ, Thomas a' Kempis. P449. Please visit Our Lord at the

PARISH OUTREACH - this ministry was organized for the purpose of learning more about the
needs of our parishioners and to develop ways in which to assist those in need; whether
that need is spiritual, financial, emotional or physical. Doing this, we can truly bring
our parish together as a concerned community-loving and caring for our fellow neighbors.
THE PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY MEETS EVERY WEDNESDAY evening from 7-9 pm in the Church
Library.
VOCATION VIEWS - Today's gospel asks us, "do you not yet have faith? Are you being
