that has served the Christian community through the
centuries. Divinum Mysterium - This ancient melody from the 12th Century

Without hymns, a sense of history and tradition can disappear. Therefore the hymnosv_ that has served the Christian Community through the centuries provides Biblical texts, invigorating rhythms and attractive melodies. The modern hymns "River of Glory" is in contrast to the Gregorian Chant "Of the Father's Love begotten." composed in the 1990's by Dan Schutte, it is an exuberant Gospel style with syncopted rhythms. What a wonderful expression of unity in the history of our songs - even to this very day! AREA EVENTS Retrouvaille: A lifeline for married couples. We are members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. and work for our neighbors in need. They do this through your kind offerings each week in the poor boxes. God will and does reward those who care & share. JUBILEE 2000: Make Time for Prayer - Make prayer a regular part of your daily life. Use personal prayer, the Scriptures, meditations, and the Liturgy of the Hours. During the year 2000, consider making a pilgrimage or a retreat. Pray the Our Father as a prayer for Christian Unity. IN THIS SEASON OF COLDS AND FLU, SNEEZING AND COUGHING it may be better for you to remain at home and miss Mass, rather than coming to Church and spreading your germs. Also, if you have difficulty getting around in good weather, please stay home when it's icy or snowy. God understands. If you have a cold please do not receive the Precious Blood at Mass or extend the Sign of Peace until you are well. REMEMBER: If you can, shovel your sidewalks to help those who must walk in the winter RELIGIOUS EDUCATION Classes for Monday,

Parishioners, I have been serving at Christ the King
since January 2, 1995. The Diocesan policy calls for a review of my ministry. The review
will involve Msgr. Lichtenthal, staff members, myself, some parishioners I have worked
with, and the Priest's Personnel Board. This
review has the sole purpose of evaluating my strengths, weaknesses and my ministry as a
priest.. After this review is completed, the next step will be to meet with the Priest
Personnel Board and Bishop Mansell to discuss my future.
Please remember in your prayers all those who will be involved in the
process, that we may be open to the Spirit. In Christ's Peace Choir Rehearsal Schedule
