BUSY HANDS - MANY BLESSINGS
Are you interested in helping others - but find it difficult to commit to a particular
time each week? Do you know how to knit, or are you willing to learn? Maybe you should
consider joining the CTK Prayer Shawl Ministry. Since this ministry first started in
February, over 120 shawls have been knit, which have been blessed by Msgr. Lichtenthal,
and given as gifts to parishioners who have serious illnesses, are shut-ins, or have a
need to be wrapped in prayers. Over 30 women have met and are taking an active part in the
CTK Prayer Shawl Ministry. At each of the weekly gatherings (Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 pm
in the Church Library), a number of women share a gathering prayer, and knit the shawls in
a prayerful, relaxed atmosphere. This a great project to work on as you wait for
appointments, travel, while watching television, or any time you have a free moment. You
are invited to join us at any time. For details call Linda Maslona at 839-2363.

We are very excited to announce that Mission IV will take place the evenings of Sunday,
February 27th - Sunday, March 6th, on the parish grounds.
Mission is a time for prayer, personal reflection, education, laughter and enjoyment.
It is a wonderful spiritual event that offers you the opportunity to experience Jesus in a
deeper sense in the company of fellow parishioners. It consists of an eight-night
spiritual journey. Each night is different and includes speakers, liturgy and personal
reflection.
With all the pressures of daily activities Mission offers a chance to take a break for

that we are impelled to seek after them; and it is only by seeking after them that they
become ours." - Henry Van Dyke

boxes. God will and does reward those who care and share.

difficult to commit to a particular time each week? Do you know how to knit, or are you
willing to learn? Maybe you should consider joining the CTK Prayer Shawl Ministry. Since
this ministry first started in February, over 130 shawls have been knit, which have been
blessed by Msgr. Lichtenthal, and given as gifts to parishioners who have serious
illnesses, are shut-ins, or have a need to be wrapped in prayers. Over 30 women have met
and are taking an active part in the CTK Prayer Shawl Ministry. At each of the weekly
gatherings (Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 pm in the Church Library), a number of women share a
gathering prayer, and knit the shawls in a prayerful, relaxed atmosphere. This a great
project to work on as you wait for appointments, travel, while watching television, or any
time you have a free moment. You are invited to join us at any time. For details call

THANK YOU
SISTER MARY ELLEN!!!
We offer you our heartfelt thanks for 21 years of dedicated service to the children and
the parish of CTK Church and School.
Sister has brought to our school a special dedication and love of the children. Under
her guidance, CTK School has achieved great accomplishments. Our school has the number one
rating for this year, while Christian values still remain a priority for our children.
It's been very rewarding to see those values become a part of each child's life.
Sister Mary Ellen, who has been the principal of CTK School for the past 19 years, was
recently chosen to the position of Regional Minister by the Sisters of her community - the
Sisters of St. Francis of Allegany. We congratulate her for this achievement. This
management level position will be based in New Jersey. Sister will be responsible for a
variety of issues that affect the Sisters in their Order across the US.
For the remainder of the year, Sister will remain as principal at the School, with
occasional days out-of-town to fulfill the obligations of her new position. Meanwhile, a
Search Committee has been formed to help look for a new principal for the 2005-2006 school
year.
The entire parish offers you our prayers and blessing as you go on to your next
ministry.

for their 28 residents on Monday, February 7th, and March 7th at 10:30 a.m. in their

IN THIS SEASON OF COLDS AND FLU, SNEEZING AND COUGHING
If you are sick, it would
be better for you to remain at home, rather than coming to church and spreading your
germs. If you have a cold, please do not receive the Precious Blood at Mass or extend the
Sign of Peace until you are well. REMEMBER: If you have difficulty getting around in good
weather, please stay home when it is icy or snowy. God understands.
