KNITTING FROM THE HEART
The CTK Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Wednesday evening from 7-9 pm in the Church Library (which is now air-conditioned!). We knit prayer shawls, which Msgr. Lichtenthal blesses and are given as gifts to parishioners who are shut-ins, have serious illnesses, or those who have a need to be wrapped in prayers. Currently over 200 Prayer Shawls have been given. This a great project to work on as you wait for appointments, travel, while watching television, or any time you have a free moment. Join us at any time. For details call Linda Maslona at 839-2363. If you are unable to participate, but wish to help out, we would appreciate donations of 3 complete skeins of one color yarn to be used to knit a prayer shawl.

CTK HABITAT VOLUNTEERS TOPPED 100 HOURS!
In just a few months, CTK Volunteers put in over 140 hours for Habitat for Humanity homes in Buffalo. Many thanks to Ellen, Jen, Joe, Debbie, George, Stan, Andrea & friends who put us over our 100-hour goal! By popular demand… we'll continue to help this wonderful agency! The Social Justice Ministry hopes that each volunteer remembers to offer up their service --to another in need of God's amazing Grace; let's keep passing it on! Join us on Wed., Aug. 10 & 24th - get details from Allison at 839-5225 or allison.k@adelphia.net.

ARE YOU REGISTERED AT CTK?
Just because you attend weekly mass at CTK, please don't assume that you are automatically registered in the parish. If you have children who have graduated from school and are working at a full-time job, they should be registered as an adult. Also, if you will be moving out of the parish, please notify us, so that we can remove you from our census. Please call the parish Rectory at 839-1430 for any of these items.

EUCHARISTIC PERPETUAL ADORATION CHAPEL
The Adoration Chapel is located at the top of the stairs, when entering the Church from the circular driveway on Lamarck Drive. These doors are unlocked from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily. Please feel free to make a visit to the Chapel. You do not need to be a scheduled adorer in order to come and pray. However, don't be afraid to take a fixed hour for fear that there may be times that you can't make it. There is a substitute system in place. "You have nothing whatsoever to fear from Him. Get up. He is calling you!" (Mark 10:50)

FAVORS GRANTED THROUGH PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION:
1) Thank you for my job! Please help me succeed! 2) Thank you for opening doors.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP
When we lose a loved one by death, we are wounded. Just as a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts and feelings, even when they seem crazy. A support group is a safe haven where we can talk, cry, share our anger, guilt and fears with those who understand and care. A Bereavement Support Group, sponsored by CTK Bereavement Committee, has been organized for all persons grieving the death of a loved one. The program will consist of six sessions beginning Tues., Sept. 13th, and every other Tuesday through Nov. 22nd, from 7pm until approximately 9pm, in the Church Library. For more information, please call Linda Maslona at 839-2363.

HELP THE POOR CHILDREN OF BRAZIL
On September 9th & 10th, Father Edmund Leising, a Missionary from Brazil, will be speaking after the Masses. Fr. Leising runs an organization - PAEC - that helps young needy children from Brazil and their mothers to learn to do productive work to succeed in school, in order to become self-sufficient. PAEC will work with 25 children entering First Grade, and works with them for 3 years to help them and their mothers to work at learning and remaining in school.
The children are helped by receiving $20 per month, $10 for books, clothing, etc. for the child and $10 a month used to train and organize the mothers to do productive work. In order to create a mixed cooperative among the mothers and other poor women in the community, the different churches and agencies elect a Community Animator who lives in the local community as the representative of Fr. Leising's team. To carry out these activities, you could sponsor a specific child for $20 a month, or you could donate any dollar amount, according to your means.

CAN YOU SHARE YOUR FAITH WITH THE HOMEBOUND?
