COLLECTION TODAY
FOR LITTLE POTION FRIARY
The CTK Social Justice Ministry is conducting a collection this weekend of needed items for the Little Portion Friary. This is a temporary shelter for homeless men & women in Buffalo. Donations can be placed in the container in the Church Vestibule. Their Wish List includes: Paper products, Toiletries (mini-size preferred), Cleaners, Batteries, Light Bulbs, and Non-perishable food. The items collected will be delivered along with a prepared meal.

Earlier this spring, the Teen Youth Group conducted the Souper Bowl of Giving. They collected $385 from our parishioners, and also donated this money to the Little Portion Friary. The following is a letter received in thanks:
We've often heard the communication advertisement to "reach out and touch someone." What greater way can there be to do this than to reach out to one another with the gift of love! You, through your generous gift, have touched those whose lives have been shattered by violence, or are in bondage to addictions, or are degraded by the burdens of poverty. You are an integral part of the small steps forward that they are able to make during their stay with us. Thank you for being a part, with us, of God's "little portion." May God's peace be with you.
Sincerely,
Your friends at the Little Portion Friary

A Bereavement Support Group, sponsored by CTK Bereavement Committee, has been organized for all persons grieving the death of a loved one. We will be offering both afternoon and evening sessions. The program will consist of six sessions beginning Tues., Sept. 14th at 7:00 pm or Wed., Sept. 15th at 1:00 pm every other Tuesday or Wednesday through November 23rd or November 24th. The program will be held in the Church Library. For more information, please call Linda Maslona at 839-2363.

Each shawl has prayers knit into it. When they're finished, we gather together and have them blessed. We meet every Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Library. Shawls are a great project to work on as you wait for appointments, travel, while watching television, or any time you have a free moment. For more information, call Linda Maslona at 839-2363.
