study of history shows that far too often Gods way and word have not been accepted. These past two thousand years have seen war after
war many due to greed, vengeance, and racial and ethinic hatred, resulting in the
death of millions, including innocent children. Slavery
was until the last century part of the history in our country and in other
parts of our world. Racial prejudice
continues to be the cause of oppression, injustice, and violence in our cities and towns. We have become an unfortunate example of the
culture of death through the legalization and actualizaiton of millions of
abortions
Acknowledging past error is
the first step toward correcting the present. MARRIAGES: BEFORE, DURING AND

liturgy, you stretched out your hand to the Poor Boxes and by this action again you said

Gospel message: Love your neighbor and share your coins in the St. Vincent de
Paul boxes. Act now during Lent, a special

a seed first dries out and ides it cannot be planted in the earth to grow. Unless we die to our selfish ways we can never
expect to be people who will lay down their lives for their friends. If you
think God is calling you to lay down your life as a priest for His Church, call Father
Leon Biernat: 847-5535. YOUTH NEWSThe Teen Youth Group of CTK is an
organization in which all high school teen parishioners are automatically members. Teens are encouraged to participate in any or all

coordinators, volunteers, and parish teens to plan programs and events that seek to
increase faith, encourage friendship, and promote fun in a welcoming atmosphere. We invite you to become an active part of teen
life at Christ the King Church.
